Yawatayachaho’s genmaicha (whole rice tea) is blended using tea that maintains an optimal balance between the genmai (whole grain rice) and tea leaves, to ensure that the scent of the tea itself is not overpowered by the fragrant aroma of the genmai. This tea is characterized by its distinctive aroma, produced through a fusion of genmai and sencha (green tea), and if this balance is upset then it is no longer true to the essence of genmaicha.
