Yawatayachaho’s Strength
Message from the President
In recent years, Japanese Green Tea, a part of Japanese culture, has received much attention from the people of the world. As someone who is involved in the Tea Industry, this brings me a sense of happiness and hope. Yet at the same time, I feel a strong responsibility not to disappoint you.
So why is Japanese Tea attracting so much attention?
Although this is riding on the back of traditional Japanese food being registered as a World Heritage, it is probable that the main reason for the popularity of Japanese Tea is the ever increasing interest in health and beauty. Medical evidence has been uncovered regarding its preventative effect on the oppression of Cancer and Senile Dementia and there are said to be various benefits in terms of beauty as well, such as the anti-aging of skin and diet.
Yawatayachaho has been involved in the manufacturing and selling of Green Tea and Matcha now for over a century and our operation is based in Morimachi in the mountains of the western part of Shizuoka Prefecture which is blessed with the morning dew and clear waters necessary for the growth of Tea Leaves.
Above all, Tea has been referred to as “the green diamond,” and in spite of the demand for it from around the world, it is difficult to get hold of. With regard to organic Matcha, as our company made an early entry into its cultivation, we have already secured several purchasing routes and we are doing our best to provide a service that is satisfying in terms of both quality and quantity.
Yawatayachaho, with its history and achievements, has won many prizes, among them the The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award, gaining the trust of many. Japanese Tea has contributed much to putting Morimachi at the top of the map for the longevity of its residents and we wish to bring the charm and efficacy of Japanese Tea to the world.
