About WA-IN

Mission

We at Yawatayachaho have been involved with Tea for over a century, and we utilize only the very finest selected Tea Leaves, putting many years of cultivation experience to use into producing Tea that fits the age we live in. More than anything, we aim to “supply Tea that the taste buds of our Customers will find delicious.”

What we can do

First of all the “organic cultivation of Tea” grew from a regret over modern cultivation which placed a priority on the taste of Tea that used an excessive amount of chemical fertilizers whilst greatly burdening the environment. We aim to return to a cyclical form of agriculture that protects the environment and exists in harmony with nature. By avoiding the use of chemical fertilizers and agricultural chemicals, we are striving to create a form of Tea production based on original and natural cultivation methods less harmful to the environment relying on compost to produce healthy soil that will encourage the growth of strong and healthy Tea trees. We pledge that the Tea Yawatayachaho produces is safe and reliable.

Message from the President

In recent years, Japanese Green Tea, a part of Japanese culture, has received much attention from the people of the world. As someone who is involved in the Tea Industry, this brings me a sense of happiness and hope. Yet at the same time, I feel a strong responsibility not to disappoint you.
So why is Japanese Tea attracting so much attention?
Although this is riding on the back of traditional Japanese food being registered as a World Heritage, it is probable that the main reason for the popularity of Japanese Tea is the ever increasing interest in health and beauty. Medical evidence has been uncovered regarding its preventative effect on the oppression of Cancer and Senile Dementia and there are said to be various benefits in terms of beauty as well, such as the anti-aging of skin and diet.
Yawatayachaho has been involved in the manufacturing and selling of Green Tea and Matcha now for over a century and our operation is based in Morimachi in the mountains of the western part of Shizuoka Prefecture which is blessed with the morning dew and clear waters necessary for the growth of Tea Leaves.
Above all, Tea has been referred to as “the green diamond,” and in spite of the demand for it from around the world, it is difficult to get hold of. With regard to organic Matcha, as our company made an early entry into its cultivation, we have already secured several purchasing routes and we are doing our best to provide a service that is satisfying in terms of both quality and quantity.
Yawatayachaho, with its history and achievements, has won many prizes, among them the The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award, gaining the trust of many. Japanese Tea has contributed much to putting Morimachi at the top of the map for the longevity of its residents and we wish to bring the charm and efficacy of Japanese Tea to the world.

We have won the most awards in Japanese Tea competitions in Japan. Although there are many Tea factories in Japan, it is impossible to win an award without the necessary techniques. Our company enters competitions every year, always winning a number of awards.
